Mission
To ensure broad industry participation so that users of low and medium voltage, electrical switchgear, controlgear and assemblies, and the general public in South Africa, are offered the safest and most advanced technologies possible, and the widest choice of products and solutions that meet both local and international standards.
Objective
The objective of ESASA is to be a responsible, open, democratic, well-organised and effective body, to represent the needs and to lobby for the rights of its members and their customers, and to participate in a constructive way to build the industry in the best interests of South Africa. ESASA actively promotes the use of both local and international standards, without compromising the applicability of the latter. ESASA has a high regard for safety, and promotes the notion that an industry cannot operate and be successful without rules and regulations; however, the rules and regulations should be both reasonable and practical to ensure a safe and a competitive economic environment for all. ESASA has its own Code-of Ethics reflecting the highest level of corporate governance and ethical behaviour.
