It is a body of experts whose primary focus is the dissemination of information for the good of the electrical power transmission industry. The issues facing Cigrι are, due to the nature of its activities, issues facing the power transmission and distribution industry as a whole. This editorial hopes to summarise some of these issues
In former years, a survey for a power line route over 150 km could take up to six months to complete. With modern technology the route can now be completed within a space of a few weeks, including setting out and undertaking the lidar survey.
