Back to basics

Wireless for data communication is on the point of exploding in the South African industrial market. The most common form of wireless that is used on a daily basis is cell phones; they have become the backbone of our lives. Wireless is now the best option when it comes to data communication over 1 km away as the cost of fibre optic and the labour it takes to have it installed is very high. The flexibility of wireless is gaining the attention of the industrial market as it is quicker and easier to install a wireless point than it is to pull a run of cable. The Satelline range of wireless data radios is simple and effective. The basic principle is to replace the cable with a wireless link. These Satel radios allow for communicating across a distance of up to 70 km without a repeater in place, with repeaters in place, communications can proceed around the world. The only configuration needed is on the radio itself, the baud rate and data configuration is needed. Interference is no problem.
