HP announced the introduction of the HP Designjet 4500 Printer series, making unattended colour production a viable and cost-effective choice for technical markets. This latest addition to the HP Designjet large-format printer family combines high-throughput colour printing at low running costs as well as copying and scanning with unattended operation. The printer also has an extended set of job accounting and facility management features that meet the needs of technical production environments, including AEC, MCAD, GIS and reprographics. Available as a printer with two media rolls and optional stacker, as a large format scanner, or as a fully featured print/scan/copy multifunction printer, the series features simultaneous processing and printing to shorten turnaround time to improve cost-efficiency and profitability. It now takes only 0,17 ml of ink to produce a standard colour line drawing covering an area of one square metre. And 100 A1 size black and white or colour drawings can be printed in one hour. The series also delivers up to 2400 x 1200 optimised dpi and plus/minus 0,1% line accuracy, which is optimal for users who need precise designs, plans and line drawings.
